Can you change the link on an NFC review card?

Madexify Tap supplies its NFC chips rewritable. We program your chosen NFC destination before dispatch, and you can update it later with a compatible phone.

We program your NFC destination before dispatch and leave the chip rewritable. Products with a printed QR code have a separate QR destination field when you order. The two links can be identical or different.

NFC can change. Printed QR stays fixed.

You can rewrite the NFC link with a compatible phone and NFC Tools by wakdev. The printed QR code is set once during production and can be scanned repeatedly. Its encoded link cannot be rewritten. Changing NFC does not change QR; a different printed link needs a replacement print or item. If you use a redirect URL you control, changing its destination is separate from changing the printed code.

Check that the developer is wakdev. You need a phone that supports NFC writing. On Android, enable NFC in Settings. Check the app store for current iPhone and iOS requirements.

Write a new NFC link

1. Open your new destination in a browser first and check it is the public page you want customers to see.
2. Open NFC Tools and choose Write, then Add a record.
3. Choose URL / URI, enter the complete web address and confirm it. Keep only the intended URL record in the write list.
4. Tap Write and hold the phone’s NFC antenna close to the product’s tap area until the app confirms success. Antenna position varies by phone.
5. Move the phone away, then tap again to test the link. Use the camera separately to check the printed QR, if your product has one.

Keep the tag rewritable: do not select a permanent lock or read-only option. If writing fails, check the tag in the app’s Read section, try without a thick or metal case, and move the item away from metal. Do not force a reset or erase an unfamiliar protected tag.
