How to find your Google review link

Before we can configure anything, we need one thing from you: the link that opens the review box on your Google listing. It is the single most common thing people get stuck on, so here is how to find it in under a minute.

What you are looking for

A Google review link usually looks like one of these:

• https://g.page/r/ followed by a string of characters
• https://search.google.com/local/writereview?placeid= followed by your place ID

Either is fine. Both open the write-a-review box directly rather than dropping the customer on your listing and hoping they find the button.

The quickest way: from Google Search

1. Sign in to the Google account that manages your business.
2. Search your business name in Google.
3. Your business panel appears at the top of the results with management options.
4. Look for Ask for reviews, or Get more reviews.
5. Google shows you a short link. Copy it.

That is the link. Paste it into the setup field when you order and we write it to your NFC items.

From Google Maps on your phone

1. Open Google Maps and search your business.
2. Open your listing, then tap Share.
3. Copy the link, then send it to yourself.

A Maps share link points at your listing rather than straight at the review box. It still works, but the customer has one extra step. If you can get the shorter review link above, use that instead.

If you cannot find it

You do not have a Google Business Profile yet

Nothing to link to until you do. Creating one is free and takes about ten minutes, though Google usually posts a card to your business address to verify it, which adds a week or two. Start that first, because the verification wait is the long pole, not the hardware.

You are not signed in to the right account

The management options only appear when you are signed in with the account that owns the listing. If you have several Google accounts, check you are in the right one.

Someone else set it up

Common with businesses that used an agency or a previous owner. You can request ownership through your Business Profile, and Google runs a transfer process. Worth sorting before you order.

A note on the other platforms

The same idea applies to Instagram, Facebook and TikTok stands. We need the public profile URL, the one someone would see if they visited your page while logged out. Not the app link, not a link that only resolves while you are signed in.

We check it before it ships

Every link you send is opened and checked before we write it to a chip. If it does not resolve, or it lands somewhere unexpected, we email you rather than guessing. That is part of the price, not an extra.
